COVID-19 update and safety precautions
Our top priority is the health and well being of our clientele. This is a sentiment that has not changed as the world around us experiences a drastic health crisis.
Prior to the recent health crisis, we already had in place a high standard of cleaning and sanitising for each area of our facility.
So what has changed? Following government issued advice we have increased the cleaning in our common areas, we are using hospital grade disinfectant and provide hand sanitiser which is required to be used upon entry to our facility. We encourage you to read all signage in regards to COVID-19 and implement correct management procedures such as correct hand washing practices, and also to cancel appointments if you are experiencing any symptoms.
We maintain a high level of hygiene and will continue to do so long after the impact of the current pandemic subsides.
DreamPod Float Tank
Is it safe to float?
Short answer, yes.
Dr Roy Vore, a microbial physiologist specialising in the management of recreational waters, has stated, "There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19".
Given this information, it brings up the point that unlike a pool or hot tub, our filtration and cleaning system is far superior. With the addition of H202, over 500kg of magnesium, standard filter, micron filter and UV light, our DreamPod is designed to maintain the highest standards of hygiene. The water is completely filtered through a minimum of four times between each appointment.
In addition, as per usual, we disinfect each area of our trio of rooms associated with our Float appointments. If you would like any questions answered about our floatation tank and/or the cleaning procedures associated with them please speak to one of our friendly staff.
Infrared Saunas
Hygiene has always been our paramount focus in our Infrared Saunas for obvious reasons. Each surface (inclusive of door handles and control panels) if disinfected thoroughly between each use. We use a variety of products to clean the different types of surfaces in and around the Infrared Saunas. We ask that you use the towels provided and if you require extra please speak to staff.
Recovery Pump
Our Recovery Pump room provides a relaxing environment and we plan on continuing this vibe. Each chair, remote, machine and garment is thoroughly cleaned between use so rest assured you can feel the benefits knowing you are safe and clean space. We have dividers between each station for privacy.
Hyperbaric Chamber
Our Hyperbaric Chamber provides a multitude of benefits, however we ask if you have been experiencing and symptoms (including that of the common cold) you refrain from making your appointment. This is for your own safety and comfort as well as that of others. The chamber is being sterilised using hospital grade steriliser between each use, all masks and tubing are single use items.
Massage Chairs
Our Massage Chairs are cleaned between each use using antibacterial wipes/solution and glen 20. All clientele are required to wash their hands thoroughly before and after use.
What else are we doing?
Our approach remains the same, we maintain our focus on PREVENTION being the best option.
We are doing our best to educate the greater public on how our facilities can maintain your body in peak condition both physically and emotionally.
